All-on-6 restores a full jaw of teeth on six implants instead of four, and starts from around €3,200 per jaw in Turkey. The useful question is not “which is better” — it is whether your mouth actually needs six. Six implants are genuinely the right call for some patients and a straightforward upsell for others, and this guide shows you how to tell the difference, including a piece of arithmetic you can run on any quote in about ten seconds.

This page is about the six-implant decision. For what full-arch treatment involves day by day, the recovery, and the two-trip schedule, see our All-on-4 in Turkey guide — the process is essentially the same for both.

All-on-4 vs All-on-6: what actually differs

All-on-4 All-on-6
Implants per jaw 4 (two usually angled) 6
From (Turkey) €2,500 €3,200
Designed to avoid grafting Yes — that was the point of the technique Less so; may need a graft or sinus lift
Load distribution Adequate in good bone Spread more widely
Often chosen for Lower jaw, good bone volume Upper jaw, softer bone, heavy grinders
Surgery Less More sites, longer procedure

Both are the same idea: a fixed bridge anchored to implants, replacing a full arch. The difference is how many anchors carry it — and how much bone you need to place them.

When six implants are genuinely the right call

Notice that every item on this list is something a clinician can only know from a CT scan. That is the whole point.

The decisive question: was All-on-6 recommended after a CT scan, or before one? A recommendation made from a few photos and a price list is a sales decision, not a clinical one. Any honest clinic will tell you they cannot confirm four versus six until they have seen your bone.

The ten-second check on an All-on-6 quote

Here is a simple test that catches inflated upgrades. Ask the clinic for both prices — All-on-4 and All-on-6 for the same jaw — then do this:

Step Example
1. Take the difference between the two quotes €3,200 − €2,500 = €700
2. Divide by two (you are buying two extra implants) €700 ÷ 2 = €350 per implant
3. Compare against the real floor for a quality implant From €350 in Turkey — this checks out

Now run it on a quote where All-on-4 is €2,500 and All-on-6 is €3,000. The difference is €500, which is €250 per extra implant — below what a quality fixture and its abutment actually cost. That gap tells you one of two things: either the All-on-4 price is padded, or the extra implants are budget fixtures. Neither is a reason to walk away on its own, but both are reasons to ask what brand is being used and to get it in writing.

The same logic works in reverse. If the upgrade costs €1,500 for two implants — around €750 each — that is well above the market and you are entitled to ask what justifies it. See our implant price guide for current per-implant ranges.

All-on-6 cost in Turkey vs the UK (2026)

Treatment Turkey UK (private) Saving
All-on-6 (per jaw) €3,200–5,500 £16,000–20,000 ~78%
All-on-4 (per jaw) €2,500–4,500 £12,000–15,000 ~78%
Both jaws (All-on-6 package) €6,400–10,500 £30,000+ ~75%
Single implant €350–800 £2,500–3,000 ~80%

What moves the price within that range is the implant brand (premium systems such as Straumann and Nobel Biocare cost more than mid-tier ones) and the bridge material — an acrylic provisional, a metal-reinforced bridge or full zirconia are very different products. A quote that does not name both is not a quote you can compare.

Is All-on-6 stronger? An honest answer

More implants do spread load more widely, and in soft bone that matters. But “more implants equals a better outcome” does not hold as a general rule. Well-planned four-implant cases have high long-term survival, and the factors that actually decide whether full-arch treatment lasts are the same either way:

Two extra implants also mean more surgery, more healing sites, potentially grafting, and more cost. That trade is worth making when the bone and the bite call for it — and not worth making simply because six sounds safer than four.

What about All-on-8, or zygomatic implants?

You will occasionally be offered eight implants per jaw. It exists, but for most patients it is well past the point of useful return and mainly adds surgery and cost. Zygomatic implants are a genuinely different thing: long implants anchored in the cheekbone, used when the upper jaw has lost too much bone for conventional implants. That is specialist surgery for severe bone loss, not an upgrade to be sold casually — and it should only ever be proposed by a clinician who has scanned you and can explain why the standard options are ruled out.

How the treatment runs

The schedule is the same as All-on-4 and needs two trips: roughly 5–7 days for extractions, implant placement and a fixed temporary bridge, then about three months of healing at home while the implants fuse with the bone, then 3–5 days for the final bridge. You are never without teeth in between.

Our All-on-4 guide covers the day-by-day detail, recovery and eating, and our trip-planning guide covers visas, flights and how to schedule the two visits.

Choosing a clinic for full-arch treatment

The clinic worth travelling for is the one that talks you out of the bigger treatment when you don’t need it. If your scan supports All-on-4 and the clinic says so — rather than selling you six — that is the strongest signal you will get about how they will treat you. See how we verify clinics.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does All-on-6 cost in Turkey?

All-on-6 starts from about €3,200 per jaw in Turkey and typically runs €3,200–5,500 depending on the implant brand and the material of the bridge, compared with roughly £16,000–20,000 privately in the UK. Both jaws as a package usually falls between €6,400 and €10,500.

Is All-on-6 better than All-on-4?

Not automatically — it is better for certain mouths. Six implants spread the chewing load more widely and give more support in soft bone, which is why they are often chosen for the upper jaw or for heavy grinders. But if you have good bone and a well-planned four-implant case, All-on-4 has excellent long-term survival rates and involves less surgery, less cost and often no grafting. More implants is not the same as a better result.

How can I tell if a clinic is upselling me to All-on-6?

Check the arithmetic. Take the price difference between their All-on-4 and All-on-6 quotes and divide it by two — that is what they are charging for each additional implant. In Turkey a single quality implant starts around €350, so if the gap works out at €150–250 per implant, either the All-on-4 quote is inflated or cheaper fixtures are being used. Also ask the decisive question: was this recommended after a CT scan, or before one?

Do I need a bone graft for All-on-6?

Sometimes. All-on-4 was specifically designed to use angled implants to reach available bone and avoid grafting. Adding two more implants means finding bone in two more places, and where that bone is thin a graft or sinus lift may be needed — which adds cost, healing time and sometimes an extra visit. If a clinic recommends All-on-6, ask directly whether grafting is included in the quote.

How long does All-on-6 last?

Full-arch implant treatment has high long-term survival, with published 10-year implant survival above 90% for well-planned cases. The implants themselves can last decades; the bridge on top is the part that wears and is typically renewed after 10–15 years — a laboratory job rather than new surgery. Your hygiene, whether you grind, and whether you smoke affect this far more than the choice of four versus six implants.

Can All-on-6 be done in one trip?

You will leave the first trip with fixed temporary teeth, but not the definitive bridge. The implants need roughly three months to fuse with the bone before the final bridge is fitted, so plan two trips: about 5–7 days for surgery, then 3–5 days for the final fitting. Any clinic promising permanent full-arch teeth in a single week is skipping a healing stage that your jaw cannot skip.
