Will antibiotics solve the problem?
Not necessarily. The American Dental Association guideline prioritises appropriate dental treatment over antibiotics for most pulpal and periapical pain in adults with a normal immune response. Antibiotics may be indicated in particular circumstances, including systemic illness; that decision belongs to the clinician.
